Teri Hays is Alliance Title’s Senior Escrow Officer at our Nampa, Idaho location. Having been with Alliance for nine years, Teri has become an invaluable member of the team. She originally started in Fruitland before moving to Rigby for a month, then to Nampa where she has currently been for the past six years.

Teri is responsible for closing on real estate transactions and working with builders, buyers, sellers, realtors, lenders, and developers. She loves the interaction with buyers and sellers in the closing room – she further explains, “It is so fun helping buyers get their new home. I never had fun in the closing room whenever I purchased a house, so from day one I always wanted the closing room to be a place that clients can relax and have fun, yet still understand what they are signing.”

Of the Alliance Core Values, “Trust and Respect” are Teri’s top picks. To her, striving for each party to understand the documents that they’re signing, and for them to trust her and her work is of the upmost importance.

When asked whom she admires, Teri points to her mother. She explains, “My mother was raised out in the middle of nowhere and left home when she was 15 because of abuse from her stepfather. She escaped, got married, and had three kids by the time she was 21. She went on to work hard and eventually became the manager of the Home Federal Savings Nampa branch. She’s been happily married to my father for 61 years and still loves life. She didn’t give up when life got hard, but pushed through and made herself an amazing person.”

Outside of the office, you can find Teri spending time with her family and their dog, Sky. Teri and her husband have nine grandchildren who are all very active in sports, or show Angus Cattle across the Midwest. When they aren’t cheering on their grandchildren, they also love to go camping.

She and her husband also have a huge garden with 12 hens, so if you ever need eggs, just give Teri a call!

Teri’s favorite quote, “When life throws you down, get up, brush off, and figure it out,” is something she tries to stick by. Teri explains, “Even hard times lead us to where we are trying to get to.”
